Cumbrian Interbreed Olympics
Sunday 23rd August 2009 at Buckabank by kind permission of the Brough family was due to be the first Cumbrian Interbreed Olympics but again biblical amounts of rain meant that the event had to be undercover and all outside events cancelled. However, over 70 turned up on the day and all enjoyed their day. We had a stock judging competition which was won by Richard Ridley and 12 year old Master Greenbank and YFC invented games, which proved to be great fun, including a bike that had everyone baffled except Mark Hartley who managed to peddle for a short distance! A fantastic BBQ started the day with Brough catering at the helm, and the days refreshments were served by our very own Mr Amos Wheatley tending his Woolpacker mobile bar for light and understated celebrations. Thank you to all those who brought along an accompaniment for the BBQ and raffle prizes. |
